The Juliusz Słowacki Theatre stands in Kraków's Old Town at 1 Świętego Ducha Square, a grand eclectic structure erected in 1893 by architect Jan Zawiejski. Drawing inspiration from renowned European Baroque and Eclectic theatres, notably the Palais Garnier in Paris, the building exemplifies 19th-century theatrical design. Named after Polish poet Juliusz Słowacki in 1909, the theatre was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978, inscribed alongside Kraków's Historic Centre. The structure remains an immovable monument in Poland and continues to function as both theatre and opera house.
