The Kabuli Bagh Mosque in Panipat, Haryana, was constructed in 1527 by the Mughal emperor Babur to commemorate his decisive victory over Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi at the first Battle of Panipat the previous year. Named after Kabuli Begum, Babur's wife, the mosque exemplifies Islamic architecture of the early Mughal period. The structure, together with its surrounding enclosure wall, is designated a Monument of National Importance, preserving a significant landmark of both military and architectural heritage from sixteenth-century India.
