The Kahl Building is a Chicago School commercial structure in downtown Davenport, Iowa, that combines retail and entertainment functions, housing the Capitol Theatre within its footprint. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, it later became a contributing property to the Davenport Downtown Commercial Historic District in 2020. The building exemplifies early-twentieth-century urban design principles characteristic of the Chicago School, merging mercantile spaces with a movie theater in a single integrated structure.
