Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle is a fortress complex in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi in the historic region of Podilia, western Ukraine. Historical accounts date its origins to the early 14th century, when it was a Ruthenian-Lithuanian castle built to protect a bridge to the mainland, on a peninsula carved by the Smotrych River. Later Polish rulers, including Casimir IV, Sigismund I, Stephen Báthory, Sigismund III and Władysław IV, rebuilt and extended it into a three-part fortress. It is a candidate UNESCO World Heritage Site.
