Kasteel Wissekerke stands in the village of Bazel, in the municipality of Kruibeke in East Flanders, Belgium. A castle has occupied the site since the 10th century, but the present building was largely constructed in the 15th century and most of its architecture recalls 19th-century neo-Gothic style. Its suspension bridge, designed in 1824 by the Brussels engineer Jean-Baptiste Vifquain, is among the oldest surviving wrought-iron suspension bridges in Europe.
