Katajanokka is a neighbourhood of Helsinki, Finland, with around 5,000 inhabitants in 2023, and its architecture is associated with Art Nouveau. Originally a headland of the Helsinki peninsula, it became technically an island when a small canal was dug across its base in the 19th century. Four bridges connect it to the Market Square and Aleksanterinkatu area on the mainland. In the 19th and 20th centuries it was Finland's largest import harbour, and it has since become largely residential.
