Kaunas Castle is a medieval brick castle in Kaunas, the second-largest city in Lithuania, standing on a rise on the banks of the Nemunas River near its confluence with the Neris. Archeological evidence suggests it was built in the mid-14th century in the Gothic style, and roughly one-third of the original castle remains today.
