In the Moskovsky District of Saint Petersburg stands the Kazanskaya Church, a Byzantine Revival structure completed in 1907 by architect Vasily Kosyakov. Built as part of the Voskresensky Novodevichy monastery complex, the church exemplifies the architectural vocabulary of Byzantine revivalism that gained prominence in early twentieth-century Russian religious architecture. Recognized as a federal cultural heritage site in Russia, the building preserves an important chapter of the city's ecclesiastical heritage.
