Kelso Abbey is a ruined Romanesque abbey in Kelso, in the Scottish Borders, overlooking the confluence of the Tweed and Teviot. Founded by Tironensian monks in the 12th century, it was a major building with two crossings. Its surviving west tower crossing and part of the infirmary show the massive, semi-military character of its design, and the abbey, which declined by the mid-16th century, is now a scheduled monument.
