Khan Shatyr Entertainment Center is a transparent, tent-shaped complex in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, designed by Foster and Partners and opened on July 5, 2010. Its fabric roof of ETFE cushions is suspended on cables from a central spire, rising 150 metres including the spire, and enclosing an urban-scale park, shopping and entertainment venue.
