Klara Church, also called the Church of Saint Clare, stands in central Stockholm on Klara Västra Kyrkogata in lower Norrmalm, and gives its name to the surrounding Klara area. A church has occupied the site since the 1280s, and the present brick and copper buildings, rising to 116 metres in the Baroque style, date from the sixteenth through nineteenth centuries. Since 1989 the Swedish Evangelical Mission has been responsible for its activities.
