Klosterneuburg Abbey is an Augustinian monastery in the town of Klosterneuburg in Lower Austria, overlooking the Danube just north of Vienna. Saint Leopold III of Babenberg and his second wife Agnes of Germany founded it in 1114. Its complex was mostly built between 1730 and 1834, with Jakob Prandtauer among its architects, and it houses the Verduner Altar, made in 1181 by Nicholas of Verdun.
