Königsplatz is a square in Munich's Maxvorstadt district, laid out in the Greek Revival manner of 19th-century European Neoclassicism. Architects Karl von Fischer and Leo von Klenze are associated with it. It is framed by the Propyläen Gate and, facing each other across the space, the Glyptothek and the Staatliche Antikensammlungen. The square lies at the heart of the Kunstareal, Munich's gallery and museum quarter, and is an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria.
