Kreva Castle is the ruined fortified residence of Grand Dukes Gediminas and Algirdas of Lithuania, in the village of Kreva, Belarus. In 1382 Jogaila imprisoned his uncle Kęstutis and cousin Vytautas there during the Lithuanian Civil War. The Union of Krewo, the first step toward the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, was signed within its walls three years later. Sacked by Crimean Tatars and damaged in World War I, it is now a protected cultural heritage site.
