La Barceloneta is a neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Built in the 18th century to rehouse residents of the Ribera displaced by the construction of the Ciutadella, it has a triangular plan bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the Moll d'Espanya of Port Vell, and El Born. It is known for its sandy beaches and waterfront restaurants, and it is classed as a Cultural Asset of Catalonia's cultural heritage.
