The Lapeer County Courthouse stands on Courthouse Square along West Nepessing Street in Lapeer, Michigan. This rectangular, two-story wood building on a raised foundation is a Greek Revival structure, completed in 1846 after construction began the previous year. Recognized as the oldest original courthouse still in use in Michigan, it was the first property in Lapeer County added to the National Register of Historic Places, in 1971.
