Laukaa Church, completed in 1835 in the municipality of Laukaa, Finland, exemplifies the Empire style popular in Scandinavian ecclesiastical architecture of the era. Designed by Carl Ludvig Engel and Anton Wilhelm Arppe under the direction of the National Board of Public Building, the structure reflects the neoclassical aesthetics that dominated early-nineteenth-century Finnish design. Today the church retains its protected status as a heritage building.
