Le Thoronet Abbey is a former Cistercian abbey in Le Thoronet, France, sited between Draguignan and Brignoles in the Var department of Provence. Built in the Romanesque style, with construction beginning in 1157, it is now restored as a museum and classified as a historical monument. Its stone walls produce a long echo that obliged the monks to sing slowly and in perfect unison. It is one of the "Three Sisters of Provence," the three Cistercian abbeys of the region.
