Lemmons, also known as Gladsmuir, is a Georgian villa on the south side of Hadley Common in Barnet, on the border of north London and Hertfordshire. Built around 1830, it was bought at auction in 1968 by the novelists Kingsley Amis and Elizabeth Jane Howard, who restored the name Lemmons and lived there until 1976. Several family novels were written in the house, and it is a Grade II listed building, registered in 1949.
