Lever House is a 307-foot office skyscraper at 390 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, designed by Gordon Bunshaft and Natalie de Blois of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in the International Style and built from 1950 to 1952. It was the second high-rise in New York City with a glass curtain wall, after the United Nations Secretariat Building. Its slab form rises above a ground-level plaza, and it was originally the headquarters of Lever Brothers. The building helped transform Park Avenue into a street of International-style office buildings.
