The Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd) crosses the Danube in Budapest, linking Buda and Pest at the southern end of the City Centre. Originally named the Franz Joseph Bridge, it was built as part of the Millennium World Exhibition at the end of the 19th century, and it features Art Nouveau design and mythological sculptures. It was the first bridge in the city rebuilt after heavy damage in World War II.
