The Lima Peru Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in La Molina, Lima Province, Peru. It is the first temple in Peru and the third in South America, after the São Paulo Brazil and Santiago Chile temples. Its six-sided white granite structure is surrounded by six spires, and a statue of the angel Moroni rising 112 feet crowns the tallest. Groundbreaking was led by Boyd K. Packer on September 11, 1982, and the temple was dedicated in January 1986 by Gordon B. Hinckley.
