Litomyšl Chateau is a Renaissance château in the centre of the town of Litomyšl, Czech Republic, and one of the largest Renaissance castles in the country. Its architect is given as Giovanni Baptista Aostalli de Sala. It is an outstanding example of the arcade castle, a type first developed in Italy and adapted in the Czech lands, and High-Baroque features were added in the 18th century. The Czech state owns the castle, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
