Ljubljana Cathedral, officially Saint Nicholas's Church, stands on Cyril and Methodius Square in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, beside the Central Market and Town Hall. Originally a Gothic church, it was replaced in the early 18th century by a Baroque building designed by Andrea Pozzo and begun in 1706. Its green dome and twin towers make it an easily recognisable landmark of the city, and it is a monument of national significance.
