The Loretto Chapel is a former Roman Catholic church in Santa Fe, New Mexico, now a privately owned museum and wedding chapel. It is built in the Gothic Revival style and is known for its helix-shaped spiral staircase, the "Miraculous Stair," which has been the subject of legend. The Sisters of Loretto considered the stair's construction and builder miraculous and credited Saint Joseph with it.
