The Lorraine Hotel is a Miami Modern hotel designed by architect Henry Hohauser and completed in 1953 on Miami Beach. Built during the post-war boom that transformed the barrier island into a resort destination, the hotel exemplifies the sleek, horizontal lines and geometric forms characteristic of the Miami Modern style that Hohauser helped pioneer in the region.
