Ludwigsburg Palace is a Baroque royal palace in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, begun in 1704 for Duke Eberhard Louis of Württemberg. Philipp Joseph Jenisch directed early work, Johann Friedrich Nette completed most of the palace and gardens, and Donato Giuseppe Frisoni finished much of the façades. Later Rococo and Neoclassical work gives it a blend of Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassical and Empire styles. Nicknamed the "Versailles of Swabia," it has 452 rooms in 18 buildings.
