Ludwigstraße is a street in the Maxvorstadt district of Munich, Germany, and one of the city's four royal avenues, alongside Brienner Straße, Maximilianstraße and Prinzregentenstraße. Named after King Ludwig I of Bavaria, it was conceived as a grand street "worthy of the kingdom" and retains its architectural uniformity. Its architecture is in the Romanesque Revival and Renaissance Revival styles, and it is protected as an architectural heritage monument in Bavaria. The avenue has also served for state parades and funeral processions.
