The Lutheran Church of Budavár is a Neoclassical church in Budapest's 1st District, and it is the oldest Lutheran church in Buda. Built in 1895 at Vienna Gate Square, it replaced an earlier church of 1846 on the Dísz tér site, founded by Maria Dorothea, third wife of Palatine Joseph. That site was later taken over by the Ministry of Defence, which led to the new church being built near Vienna Gate.
