The Villa Jeanneret-Perret, commonly known as Maison Blanche, stands in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, as the first independent architectural project by Le Corbusier (Charles-Edouard Jeanneret). Built in 1912 for his parents in his hometown, the villa exemplifies early modernism inflected with neoclassical principles. Now open to the public since 2005, it is designated a class A Swiss cultural property of national significance and remains under UNESCO patronage, having been proposed by the Swiss Government for World Heritage inscription.
