The Majestic Theatre was an Art Deco cinema in Christchurch, New Zealand, opened on 1 March 1930 and designed by Sidney and Alfred Luttrell. It was the first building in the city built with a complete steel frame and housed a two-tier auditorium of 1650 seats. Damaged in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, it was demolished in May 2014 despite protests and campaigns to save it.
