The Marienkirche (St. Mary's Church) is a Brick Gothic church on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße near Alexanderplatz in Berlin's Mitte district. Its origins are dated to 1380, and it rises 91 metres. Originally Roman Catholic, it has been Lutheran since the Reformation in 1539. Much of its present architecture results from late 19th-century and post-war restoration.
