Markuskyrkan (St. Mark's Church) is a brutalist church in the Björkhagen district of southern Stockholm, designed by architect Sigurd Lewerentz and built between 1958 and 1963. Constructed from Helsingborg brick, the building exhibits the architect's characteristic use of brick, timber, and prominently displayed technical systems. Its low, horizontally oriented form was shaped by its setting within a birch grove on former lakebed—conditions that directly informed the design. Since 1990, the church has been designated a cultural monument by the Swedish National Heritage Board and is part of Skarpnäck Parish in the Church of Sweden.
