The Maronite Cathedral of Saint George stands in downtown Beirut, Lebanon, and serves as the cathedral of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Beirut. Built between 1884 and 1894 under Archbishop Joseph Debs on the site of an earlier 18th-century church dedicated to Saint George, it is a Neoclassical basilica whose facade and interior draw inspiration from Rome's Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.
