The Marshall Field and Company Building is a department store occupying an entire city block on State Street in Chicago's Loop. Designed by Daniel Burnham in the Beaux-Arts and Commercial style for Marshall Field, it was built in two sections, in 1901–1902 and 1905–1906, and is known for its multiple balconied atria and a mosaic vaulted ceiling by Louis Comfort Tiffany. A National Historic Landmark, it was the flagship of the Marshall Field's chain until its conversion to Macy's in 2006.
