Mary, Queen of the World Cathedral is a minor basilica and the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Montreal, located in Ville-Marie at the corner of René Lévesque Boulevard and Metcalfe Street in downtown Montreal. Begun in 1875, it was designed by Etienne Alcibiade Leprohon, Joseph Michaud and Victor Bourgeau in the Renaissance style and built of limestone.
