Located at 508 East Kennedy Boulevard in Downtown Tampa, Florida, the Masonic Temple No. 25 is a Mediterranean Revival structure erected in 1927 as the meeting place of Hillsborough Lodge No. 25, Free and Accepted Masons. Designed by Brother M. Leo Elliott and inspired by three medieval Italian cathedrals, the building received its cornerstone on June 18, 1928, laid by the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Florida, Cary B. Fish, with the first lodge meeting held on February 19, 1929. The temple houses a lodge room adorned with a 40-foot-high hand-painted ceiling that accommodates up to 450 members and visitors, along with a dining room, kitchen, offices, library, and conference facilities. The building's first-floor street frontage includes three rental units leased to businesses. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, the temple has counted among its members notable Tampa figures including Joseph Robles and Abe Maas of the prominent Maas Brothers department store.
