The Midland Hotel in Morecambe, Lancashire, is a Streamline Moderne masterpiece completed in 1933 by architect Oliver Hill for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway. The building's distinctive aesthetic was enriched by sculpture by Eric Gill and murals by Eric Ravilious, though the latter have since been destroyed. Designated Grade II* listed, the hotel has undergone restoration by Urban Splash in collaboration with architects Union North, the Northwest Regional Development Agency, and Lancaster City Council.
