Millersylvania State Park, a 903-acre recreation area eight miles south of Olympia on Deep Lake in Thurston County, Washington, preserves a notable example of Civilian Conservation Corps landscape work. The park's buildings and grounds exemplify National Park Service rustic architecture and design principles. Its old-growth cedar and fir forest and 3,300 feet of freshwater shoreline remain intact, and the site earned listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 in recognition of its well-preserved CCC heritage. Today it is managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
