Located at Columbia, Missouri, on the University of Missouri campus, the Missouri State Teachers Association Building is a two-story Tudor Revival brick structure completed in 1927. Designed by architect William B. Ittner, it stands on South 6th Street as a landmark in the history of American education: it was the first building in the United States constructed specifically to house a state teachers association. The building's site holds additional historical significance, marked by a commemorative plaque noting it was once occupied by Columbia College, the institution that preceded the University of Missouri. Recognized for its architectural and historical importance, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
