The Mohammad Hassan Khan Bridge spans the Babol River in Mazandaran Province, Iran, a substantial arch structure built in 1733–34 by Mohammad Hassan Khan Qajar following the conclusion of his conflict with Karim Khan Zand. Constructed of decorative brick and plaster in the Qajar architectural style, the bridge measures approximately 140 meters long and 6 meters wide, rising 11 meters from the riverbed. Its design comprises seven main bays and two secondary bays, featuring eight arches with Safavid-style curvature. The bridge replaced an earlier wooden structure from the Ghaznavid era that had occupied the same location. Over centuries, the bridge has endured considerable damage from earthquakes and natural forces, notably losing two arches in the 1820 earthquake and suffering pier damage during flooding in 1906, both subsequently repaired.
