The Monastery of San Lourenzo de Carboeiro stands in Carboeiro, Silleda, Galicia, Spain. It is a Benedictine monastery founded in the 10th century and is regarded as one of the most outstanding works of late Romanesque architecture, showing the transition toward Gothic. Its greatest splendor came between the 11th and 13th centuries.
