The Monastery of Saint-Paul-de-Mausole stands in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France. Built around 1200 in the Romanesque style, it was formerly a Benedictine priory and later an Augustinian monastery, and it is a classified historical monument. Vincent van Gogh stayed there in 1889–1890, when the building served as a lunatic asylum, and painted The Starry Night among many works. Several of its rooms now form a museum in his honour.
