Monbijou Palace was a palace in central Berlin, standing in what is now Monbijou Park on the north bank of the Spree river, opposite the Bode Museum. Begun in 1703 and designed by architects including Johann Friedrich Eosander von Göthe, Georg Christian Unger and Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, it was heavily damaged in the Second World War. East Berlin authorities razed the ruins in 1959, and it has not been rebuilt.
