The Montefiore Windmill stands on a slope opposite the western walls of Jerusalem, Israel. Built as a flour mill in 1857 by the efforts of British Jewish banker and philanthropist Moses Montefiore, it is now a small museum devoted to his achievements. Restored in 2012 with a new cap and sails in the style of the originals, it can turn in the wind.
