The former Moscow City Hall, known in Russian as the City Duma building, is an ornate red-brick edifice in Tverskoy District, immediately east of the State Historical Museum. Designed by Dmitry Chichagov and dating from 1890, it is a hybrid of Russian Revival and Neo-Renaissance styles. During the Soviet period it served as the Lenin Museum, and it is a federal cultural heritage site.
