The Moscow Manege is an oblong Neoclassical building in Tverskoy District, on the west side of Manege Square beside Red Square. Designed by the Spanish engineer Agustín de Betancourt, it was erected from 1817 to 1825 by the Russian architect Joseph Bové, who clothed it in Roman Doric columns. Its roof spans 45 metres without internal support. Originally an indoor riding academy, it has been an exhibition venue since 1831 and has housed the Moscow Design Museum since 2012.
