The Mosque of Amir al-Maridani stands south of Bab Zuweila in the Darb al-Ahmar neighbourhood of Islamic Cairo, Egypt. Built in 1340 under the Mamluk Sultanate, it was erected by Amir Altinbugha al-Maridani with significant help from his father-in-law, Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad. Its hypostyle plan resembles that of the Mosque of al-Nasir, and it was among Cairo's most lavishly decorated mosques of its day, marked by the first fully octagonal minaret and a large dome.
