Nakkehoved Lighthouse stands on the Nakkehoved cliffs between Gilleleje and Hornbæk in Gribskov Municipality, Denmark, roughly 40 km north of Copenhagen. Built in 1772 of brick, it originally served as one of two lighthouses on the headland; the eastern tower was decommissioned in 1898, leaving the western tower, 21 metres tall, still in operation. It marks the entrance to the Kattegat and is listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places.
