The Niagara Mohawk Building is an Art Deco commercial building in Syracuse, New York, completed in 1932 as headquarters for the Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, then the nation's largest electric utility company. Designed by Syracuse architect Melvin L. King with the Buffalo firm Bley and Lyman, it is distinguished by recessed upper stories resembling a ziggurat or step pyramid and a 28-foot stainless steel statue, "The Spirit of Light," depicting a winged figure representing the spread of electricity. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
